Embedding-based retrieval over physics simulations kept surfacing plausible-sounding but energetically forbidden results. Users lost trust quickly.
We layered a set of conservation-law filters before vector search — cheap, exact, and immune to prompt pressure. Embeddings then rank only what is physically admissible.
False-positive rate on the worst query classes fell by an order of magnitude. The system became honest in a measurable way.
